JORDAN RETAIN ARAB TABLE TENNIS CROWN
Aug 01, 2023
Jordan’s male Table Tennis players have defended their Arab Championship title after beating Bahrain in the final match 3-0.
The tournament, held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, has attracted 158 of the best Arab players from Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar, and Jordan.
And it was the Jordanian team of Zaid Abu Yemen, Ziyad Aziz, Hassan Al-Hourani and Khaled Basem who secured the overall title in style.
It follows 2021’s success on home soil in Amman, when they defeated Egypt in the final to win the crown for the first time.
