JORDAN BOXERS WELCOME IRANIANS FOR CAMP

Amman’s Olympic Preparation Centre, which is managed by the Jordan Olympic Committee, is hosting a joint training camp between the Jordanian and Iranian national boxing teams over the next two weeks.
Jordan’s Cuban national team coach, Scott Dagoberto, said the intensive camp will, featuring two daily sessions, will help both delegations to prepare for upcoming major international competitions, including September’s Asian Games, and next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
The boxers will enjoy sparring sessions against each other to enable coaches to analyse their performances and improve technique.
Iran’s Technical Director, Amiri Hamaboun, also stated the importance of the training camp, adding: “We chose to camp with the Jordanian boxing team because they have exceptional fighters in their ranks, which we noticed during the last World Championship.”
