JUNIOR FIGHTERS FLOCK TO TAEKWONDO NATIONALS

The strength of Taekwondo in Jordan is being underlined by the National Juniors Taekwondo Championship which was launched at Prince Feisal Hall in Al-Qweismeh on Friday, and will run until Monday.
The championship has attracted over 500 fighters from 93 clubs and centres across Jordan, with places up for grabs in the upcoming national team that will compete at the 12th Asian Championship, hosted in Beirut, Lebanon from September 2-4.
Faisal Al-Abdallat, Secretary General of the Jordan Taekwondo Federation, said: “The selection opportunity for the national junior taekwondo team has created a significant involvement from clubs and centres taking part, boosting the number of fighters here. This is a testament to the advancement of Taekwondo in the Kingdom through the noticeable increase in high quality participants.”
