BADMINTON GOLD, SILVER FOR JORDAN AT ARAB GAMES

Jordan secured both gold and silver in the women’s Badminton singles at the 15th Arab Games taking place in Algeria.
In an all-Jordan final, Maryam Abu Ara beat teammate Marah Omar two sets to nil (21-16 and 21-10) to take the gold medal.
The medals take Jordan’s Badminton haul to four from the Arab Games, with Baha'a Al-Shanik earlier winning bronze in the men’s singles, and then the same player teamed up with Azzam Abu Ara to take bronze in the Doubles.
