FENCER SCOOPS ARAB GAMES SILVER

Fencer Dina El-Mensy has won a silver medal for Jordan in the épée competition at the 15th Arab Games taking place in Algeria, with her teammate taking a bronze.
El-Mensy settled fgor silver after losing the final to Algerian fencer, Charlène Chaquya, 9-10 in a tiebreaker after three rounds ended in a draw.
She reached the quarter-final by defeating Emirati fencer, Zeinab Al-Hawasni, 15-12, before defeating her teammate Shahad Al-Kloub, 15-3 to reach the final.
Al-Kloub reached the last four with a quarter-final win over Nada Abid, from Saudi Arabia.
In the men’s competitions, both Qusai Haboub (epee) and Eyas Al-Zumar (foil) were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
