MORE ARAB GAMES MEDALS IN JUDO

Jordan have won another pair of bronze medals in the Judo competitions at the 15th Arab Games in Algeria.
Abdullah Mekdad won bronze in the -90kg weight, beating Iraq’s Shahab Al-Qurayshi in the quarter-final before losing in the semi-final to Algerian, Osama Kabri. In his bronze medal play-off, he beat Libya’s Mohammed Al-Lafi.
Hussein Ayal Salman won bronze in the +100kg weight, defeating the UAE’s Abdulrahman Mansour before losing to Algerian, Mohammed Lily in the semi-final.
The successes take Jordan’s Judo medal count at the Games in Judo to four, with a silver and bronzes won gthe previous day too.
There is more to come, with the team concluding their participation tomorrow in the men’s team event.
