ARAB GAMES SILVER AND BRONZE FOR JORDAN JUDO

Jordan Judo is celebrating silver and bronze medals at the 15th Arab Games in Algeria.
Bilal Mansour took silver in the -60kg competition, while Ahmad Al-Rafu’ clinched bronze in the -66kg.
Mansour beat Syria’s Suleiman Rafai in the quarter-final before reaching the final with a win over Tunisia’s Mohamed Materi. In the final, Mansour lost to another Tunisian, Ferj Douibi, to settle for silver.
Al-Rafu’ beat Libya’s Rami Al-Hattab in his first match, but lost to Tunisian, Aziz Al-Harbi, to drop into the bronze medal matches where he beat Morocco’s Abdelrahman Boushahia.
Elsewhere in Judo, Hadeel Al-Alami lost in the first round of the women’s -57kg category to Algeria’s Yemina Hattat and Tunisian player Marwa Shamkhi.
The Jordanian Judo team will continue their participation tomorrow, Thursday, with Abdullah Muqdad (+90kg) and Hussein Salman (+100kg) both in action.
