BADMINTON TEAM STRAIGHT INTO THE SWING

Jordan’s Badminton players have been training at the Aïn Benian Israa Hall in preparation for their opening matches at the 15th Arab Games taking place until July 15 in Algeria.
Jordan is one of 10 nations competing in the Badminton competition which begin on Thursday with Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Djibouti, Tunisia, Comoros, Mauritania and Syria all in the hunt for medals with Jordan.
Jordan will be represented in the singles and doubles by Baha’a Shneik, Azaddin Abu Ara, Marah Omar, and Maryam Abu Ara.
Coaches Youssef Abu Mandour and Muhran Shqeerat have been overseeing the final preparations with Abu Mandour saying his players are ready to fight for medals.
Jordan have won 17 medals in its history at the Games, including one gold, seven silver, and nine bronze medals.
