HRH PRINCESS AYAH LEADS JORDAN DELEGATION TO ARAB GAMES

Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah bint Feisal, Jordan Olympic Committee Board Member and President of the Jordan Volleyball Federation, heads the Jordan delegation that will compete at the 15th Arab Games being held in Algeria from July 5-15.
On the eve of the tournament launch, HRH Princess Ayah praised the efforts of the national federations for preparing their athletes in the best way possible, and wished them well as they bid to put Jordan on the podium.
Rana Nazmi Al-Saeed, JOC Secretary General, said that they were optimistic of Jordanian success to continue the Kingdom’s remarkable sporting development.
“We look forward to a distinguished participation in the Arab Games with our teams ready to deliver outstanding performances, and aiming to stand on the podium,” said Al-Saeed.
“The Arab Games hold great significance as they have contributed to the development of Jordanian sports over the decades.”
Five teams have departed as the initial delegation for Algeria with women’s Volleyball, Swimming, Judo, Badminton, and Boxing due to compete first.
The women’s Volleyball national team delegation consists of Manager, Maisoun Al-Sama’ma: Argentine coach, Matias; local coach, Ziad Habash; referee, Basil Shabab; physiotherapist, Raghed Al-Ansari; and the 12 players of Rahaf Abu Lail, Aya Shank, Rahaf Haymour, Rand Haymour, Rghad Haymour, Tala Al-Fahmawi, Farah Al-Atout, Tamara Jaber, Nawar Al-Qawasmi, Maya Al-Taji, Dalia Wadi, and Nancy Ayash.
The Swimming team includes the Technical Director, Dr. Ali Al-Nawayseh, and the six swimmers of Mohammed Bdour, Imad Zibn, Adnan Al-Abdallat, Laith Sabah, Amro Al-Wir, and Ziyad Al-Sal’ous.
The Judo delegation includes Technical Director, Mohammed Khalaf; coach, Ahmed Al-Othamain; referee, Abdulrahim Al-Rahil; and five fighters of Hadeel Al-Alami, Bilal Mansour, Ahmed Al-Rifou, Abdullah Mqdad, and Hussein Salman.
The Badminton delegation includes Technical Directors Youssef Abu Mandour and Muhran Shuqairat; referee, Basil Al-Noubani; and four players: Baha’a Al-Shanik, Azaddin Abu Ara, Marh Omar, and Mariam Abu Ara.
The Boxing delegation includes the Cuban technical director, Scott Dagoberto, coaches, Omar Hameed and Reem Al-Shammari; Referee, Mohammed Al-Harsh, and 12 boxers: Hazeifa Ashish, Mahdi Al-Masha’ala, Mahdi Al-Matboli, Mahmoud Ghanem, Mohammed Suleiman, Youssef Ishaish, Mohammed Abu Jaja, Ziad Ishaish, Mohammed Al-Mahayrat, Hussein Ishaish, Odai Hindawi and Hanan Nasar.
Jordan is taking a total of 132 male and female athletes representing 17 sports, including Athletics, Badminton, 3x3 Basketball (men and women), Boxing, Fencing, Weightlifting, Judo, Karate, Wrestling, women’s and men’s Volleyball, Swimming, Gymnastics, Chess, Table Tennis, Handball, and Para Athletics.
