JORDAN BEACH VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP UNDERWAY

The Jordan Clubs Beach Volleyball Championship, organised by the Jordan Volleyball Federation, got underway Saturday at the Princess Ayah ground in Al Hussein Youth City.
Fourteen teams from both genders have entered, with the 10 teams for the men’s competition divided into two groups with Group A consisting of Wehdat A, Awda A, Shabab Al-Hussein A, Mahatta B, and A’ira B.
While Group B includes Wehdat B, Shabab Al-Hussein B, Awda B, Mahatta A, and A’ira A.
In the opening Group A match, Wehdat A beat Mahatta B, 2-0, while Shabab Al-Hussein beat Mahatta A, 2-0, in Group B.
Shabab Al-Hussein A also won their match against Awda A, 2-0, while A’ira A beat Wehdat B, 2-0.
In the women’s competition, Nassr A beat De Lasal A, 2-0, while De Lasal B beat Al-Nassr B by the same score.
The tournament will continue on Sunday with the next round of the championship which is part of the Federation’s bid to promote the sport and encourage more players to take part.
