AL ALAMI WINS BRONZE IN AFRICA

Judoka Hadeel Al-Alami has won a bronze medal at the African Open Championship, hosted by Algeria.
Al-Alami finished third in the U57kg category, after losing her quarter-final match to a host nation athlete.
She went into the repechage, which is the competition for the bronze, and beat Algeria’s Khadija Bakhira and Tunisia’s Maryam Jammour.
The Championship welcomed athletes from 27 countries, including four from Asian countries and five from European.
