TAEKWONDO MEDALS IN QATAR

The taekwondo national team has won one gold, one silver and 3 bronze medals in the International Qatar Championship so far.
With action continuing this week, Jordan has already secured medals through Mutasem Abu Zaid’s (gold in 54kg), Saleh Al Sharabati (silver in 80kg), Anas Al Sadeq (bronze in 87kg), Mohammad Asfour (bronze in 63kg) and Razan Sa'aydeh (bronze in 49kg).
Still to fight are Mohammad Khalifeh, Abdullah Al Shobaki, Majd Asfour, Hamzeh Qattan, Eman Al Adayleh, Taleen Al Hmaidi, Shahed Al Torman, and Rania Al Fawaeer.
In the tournament’s youth section, Ayham Asfour won gold in the 73kg weight.
The Qatar event is the final stage of the national team’s preparation for the Asian Championships in the Philippines from April 23. The tournament is also an Olympic qualifying event.
The fighters will fly to Taiwan for a training camp from March 27-April 14, before a final camp in The Philippines before the tournament.
