Feb 04, 2023
Jordan have lost their best-of-five Davis Cup tennis match to El Salvador on centre court at the Jordan Tennis Federation in Al-Hussein Youth City.
Jordan had started the tie well on Friday, with Musa Al-Qutb winning his singles match against Diego Duran on Friday.
But the Central American’s drew level before Musa teamed up with brother, Mohammad, in the doubles, where they lost to Luis Miralles and Marcelo Arevalo 2-0 (7-6, 6-0).
Musa then lost his second singles match to Marcelo Arevalo in the decisive fourth leg, handing El Salvador a 3-1 win and enabling them to join the Cup’s second division, while Jordan will compete in the third division.
