WEST ASIAN MEDALS GALORE FOR WEIGHTLIFTERS

Jordan have won an incredible 18 medals at the 9th West Asian and Qatar Cup competitions.
Although no golds were won, Jordan picked up three silver and 15 bronze medals at the event which attracted over 100 weightlifters representing 15 countries.
Weam Qandil won the three silvers on his own in the Qatar Cup and a further three bronze medals in the West Asian Championship.
Her teammate, Mohammed Al-Aboudi, won three bronze medals in the West Asian Championship, while Ahmed Al-Khawaldeh also won three bronze medals.
Rama Hijazi won three bronze medals in the Qatar Cup, and Adla Hassouna won three bronze medals at the same event.
