POWERLIFTIERS ADD FIVE MEDALS IN FAZZA’ WORLD CUP

The national Paralympic Powerlifting team has continued its achievements at the 12th edition of Fazza International Championship - World Cup, being hosted in Dubai.
The team have won another five medals - including two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals to show preparation for the Paris 2024 Paralympics are on track by adding to the pair already won.
Abdul Karim Khattab won gold in the 97kg competition, after he lifted 255kg, setting a new record.
While Tharwat Al-Hajjaj won gold in the 86kg competition, lifting 134kg.
Asmaa Issa (-79 kg) took the silver medal while bronze medals came from Moataz Al-Junaidi (-107kg) and Jamil Al-Shibli (-107kg).
The wins take Jordan’s medal tally to seven, (three gold, one silver and three bronze) after Omar Qarada earlier won gold in the -49kg weight and Mohamed El-Shenety won bronze in the -54kg competition.
