JOC President attends ITTF Executive Committee meeting

Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) President and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board Member HRH Prince Feisal today warmly welcomed the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) President Petra Sörling and the ITTF Executive Committee to Amman, Jordan, ahead of the inaugural ITTF Summit.
HRH Prince Feisal attended part of the ITTF Executive Committee meeting to discuss several key topics and the future direction of the ITTF; including the importance of safeguarding and gender equity, as HRH holds multiple positions pertaining to the two key issues within the IOC and across the Olympic Movement including chairing the FIBA Safeguarding Council.
The ITTF Summit commences following the Executive Committee on December 4-6 and will welcome delegates from 227 Member Associations, ITTF executives, global representatives from the table tennis family, and guests from the global sports community.
The three-day event will bring the entire table tennis family together after two years marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and will include keynote speeches and workshops on sustainability, gender equity, integrity and the future of sport.
As the leading organization for sport in the Kingdom, hosting the inaugural ITTF Summit on the back of the successful hosting of the Arab Championships in August 2021, underlines the JOC’s commitment to delivering world-class events and empowering all Jordanians to participate in sport.
