GOLD, BRONZE FOR BADMINTON IN ZAMBIA

Jordan’s Baha’ Shneik and Domoo Amro have won gold and bronze medals at the Zambia International Badminton Championship.
The pair teamed up for gold in the mixed doubles, while Baha’ toomk bronze in the women’s singles.
The pair opened their account with a win over South African’s Johannita Schultz and Sadine Kakoria (2-0). In the quarter-final, they beat Zambia’s Evelyn Ciampangila and Calonde Charles (2-0), and then defeated another Zambian pair, Ogar Ciampangila and Mark Banda (2-0), to reach the final. There, they beat South African duo Amy Ackerman and Jared Ellott (2-1).
Baha’ reached the singles bronze medal match after defeating Zambia’s Bayla Ganda (2-0) in the first round, and another Zambian, Soria Galinch, in the second. She beat South African Sadin Kakoria (2-0) in the quarters before losing to Nigerian, Otbalbo Obery, (1-2).
