WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL REACH WEST ASIAN QUARTERFINALS

Jordan have qualified for the quarterfinal of the 1st West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship following their 3-1 win over Kuwait at the Sports Palace.

The victory maintained Jordan’s unbeaten record following wins over Oman, UAE and Qatar, with the final match of the group stage against Saudi Arabia at 6pm on Monday.

In other matches, Lebanon beat Saudi Arabia 3-0, Iraq UAE beat Oman 3-0 and Iraq overcame Syria 3-1.
