SECOND WIN FOR JORDAN AT WEST ASIAN WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Jordan have followed up their opening day win with a second Group B victory at the West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championships being hosted in Amman.
The 3-1 win over the UAE at the Sports Palace in Al Hussein Youth City means Jordan sit atop with the sets finishing 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, and 25-14.
They will next meet Qatar at 6pm in Prince Muhammad Hall in Zarqa.
The rest of the second round of results saw Syria beat Palestine 3-0, while Lebanon beat Iraq by the same score. Kuwait defeated Qatar, 3-0.
Thursday's games:
12 noon: Palestine v Iraq
2pm: Saudi Arabia v Syria
4pm: Oman v Kuwait
6pm Qatar v Jordan
