JORDAN WIN WEST ASIAN WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL OPENER

Hosts Jordan have got off to the perfect start with a win at the opening match of the West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship at The Sports Palace in Al Hussein Youth City.
The 3-0 win came in front of HRH Princess Ayah Bint Al Feisal, Jordan Volleyball President; Princess Aysha Bint Al Feisal; Princess Sara Bint Al Feisal; HE Mohammad Salameh Al Nabulsi, JOC Vice President; Dr. Sari Hamdan, Chairman of Organizing Committee and Mr. Ali Kawari, President of West Asian Volleyball Federation.
The event has welcomed 10 countries including Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Palestine, UAE, Qatar and Jordan.
In other games, Iraq beat Saudi Arabia (3-0), Lebanon beat Palestine (3-0), and the UAE overcame Qatar 3-0.
