ABU JAJEH GUARANTEES ASIAN MEDAL

Muhammad Abu Jajeh has guaranteed at least a bronze medal after reaching the semi-finals of the Asian Boxing Championship, taking place in Amman at the Rashid Al-Zayoud Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City.
Abu Jajeh beat Japan’s Shion Nishiyama in his -60kg quarter-final, to book a last four fight with Samatali Toltaev from Kazakhstan on Thursday.
Teammate Youssef Ishaish lost his -57kg quarter-final fight with top seed and world silver medallist, Serik Timrzanov from Kazakhstan.
Sarah Al-Qawasmeh also lost at the same stage to Uzbekistan’s Vasylova Varzuna in the -48kg weight.
