The biggest night on Jordan’s sporting calendar will be covered live on the internet this Monday night.
The winners of the Black Iris Sports Awards will be revealed at a gala dinner in Amman, and with hundreds of thousands of fans casting their votes, interest has never been greater.
And it has prompted the Jordan Olympic Committee, which organises the event, to stream it live on the internet so that followers can see who wins what as it happens at the Kempinski Hotel.
During the public voting process for the five categories, almost 500,000 votes were cast with the winners to be unveiled at the event itself.
The Black Iris Sports Awards, created in 2005, recognize end encourage sporting excellence and the quality of the 2015 shortlists demonstrate the world-class level that many of Jordan’s sports stars are competing at.
The link to the live coverage will be posted on the official Jordan Olympic Committee Facebook page on Monday.

- Ahmad Abu Goush (Taekwondo): Silvers at Open Kazakhstan Championships and Open Russian Championships

- Khader Baqleh (Swimming): Two silver, two bronze at Arab Championships; Gold, two silver, two bronze at International Dubai Championships. First Jordanian to make Olympic qualification time (B) in 200m freestyle, three silvers at 8th Asian Age Championship.
- Shergo Al Kurdi (Golf): Second at Arab Juniors Championships and holder of a number of titles in the UK where he lives and plays
- Mohammad Al Goul (Jujitsu): Gold at World Junior Championships
- Ahmad Al Khateeb (Chess): Gold at Arab Olympic Chess, obtained Grand Master and International Master levels

- Aysha Al Sedah (Taekwondo): Silver at World Cadet Championships
