TEN MEDALS AS BOXERS DOMINATE IN BOSNIA

Jordan’s Olympic boxers were among the big winners as the Kingdom picked up an incredible 10 medals at the Bosnia and Herzegovina Open Championships.
The team won five gold medals with Olympians Uday Al-Hindawi (-86kg), Hussein Ishaish (- 81kg) and Ziad Ishaish (-71kg), joined on the top step of the podium by Muhammad Abu Jaja (-60kg), and Youssef Ishaish (-57kg).
Two silver medals were won by Mahdi Al-Mashaleh (-54kg) and Ahmed Taimat (-92kg), while three bronze medals were picked up by Zaid Al-Bitar (-54kg), Ahmed Al-Tamari (-86kg) and Muhammad Younis (-86kg).
The national team understandably won the award for the best team in the tournament, while Hussein won the award for the best fighter. Abu Jaja won the award for the best technique.
The Championships have provided the perfect preparation for the Asian Championships which will be held in Amman from October 30 to November 13.
The national team travels to Thailand tomorrow to participate in a joint training camp with the Thais to continue their preparation.
