ABU SHAQRA TO COMPETE FOR BRONZE

Omar Shaqra is in the running to win a bronze medal at the 4th and final round of the World Karate Premier League being hosted by the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku.
Abu Shaqra toped his group with wins over Romanian, Gogolosi Bogdan (7-0) and Kuwaiti, Abdullah Shaaban (9-3).
In the quarter-finals, he lost to Egypt’s Karim Abu Eita (3-5), but after his victor advanced to the final, it meant the Jordanian would go into the repechage to compete for bronze where he will meet Caesar from Kazakhstan on Sunday, with the winner taking bronze.
