AMMAN TO HOST ITTF SUMMIT IN DECEMBER

The International Table Tennis Federation Executive Committee has selected Amman from seven cities vying to host its major international summit this December.
The ITTF Summit will bring several events under one roof including the 2022 ITTF Annual General Meeting, as well as meetings of the Board of Directors, Continental Council, and Executive Committee.
Jordan was selected ahead of strong bids from Spain, Portugal, England, Italy, Argentina, Tunisia, and Iraq, impressing the decision makers with its proposal which has received the full backing from the Jordan Olympic Committee.
It is anticipated that the summit will see some key decisions made, including selecting the host cities for the 2025 World Table Tennis Championship in 2025, and the 2024 World Youth Championship.
“We are honoured that Jordan was chosen to host the most important meeting of the International Table Tennis Federation, and we are very excited because the future of our sport will be shaped in the capital, Amman,” said Tariq Al-Zoubi, President of the Jordanian and West Asian Table Tennis Federations.
“Jordan Table Tennis Federation is ready to receive delegates from 226 national associations. We will ensure a comfortable experience for everyone and look forward to hosting the entire table tennis family in December.”
