Aug 25, 2022
Jordan have launched the latest phase of their FIBA World Cup campaign with an 80-64 win over India at Prince Hamzah Hall.
It was a good start for Jordan, with tough matches to come in a group that also includes New Zealand, Lebanon, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia.
Only the top three will advance to the World Cup which is being hosted by The Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia in August next year.
Teams have carried their points through from their previous qualifying round, so the win moves Jordan to eight points with the team travelling to Auckland, New Zealand, next week to face the group leaders.
