NINE MEDALS AT ARAB KARATE

Jordan have won nine medals on the first day of the Arab Karate Championship, which is hosted in Cairo, Egypt.
Afif Ghaith won gold in the -67kg weight, while seven silver medals were won by Mahmoud Al-Sajan, Yazan Al-Wahr, Omar Shaqra, Hoda Jabr, Nour Bashar, Lin Murad and Rahaf Ali. Maya Torosyan won bronze in the kata competition.
The event has welcomed fighters from Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, UAE, Libya, Saudi Arabia, in addition to Egypt.
