PROMOTING JUDO IN JORDAN

The Jordan Judo Federation has run the rule over a crop of new judoka at the National Championships for all age groups at Prince Rashid Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.
More than 370 athletes from judo clubs and centres across the Kingdom are taking part, with the event launching yesterday (Friday) with the Women's competitions, followed by two days of competition.
Ali Malhas, President of the Jordan Judo Federation, explained that this tournament is the largest in terms of the number of participants and the number of participating clubs and centres, which shows the importance, development, and spread of this sport in Jordan.
