JORDAN HOSTS WEST ASIAN TABLE TENNIS

The West Asian Table Tennis Championships are being hosted this week by the Jordan Table Tennis Federation at Prince Hamzah Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.
The event has welcomed over 200 players representing Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan.
Competitions are also being held for U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 age groups and Jordan got off to great start, with the women beating Kuwait 3-0 to go top of their group with Iraq, who defeated Lebanon, 3-2.
The U15 girls team also topped their group with 3-0 wins over Kuwait and Syria, while
U13 girls started with a 3-0 win over Kuwait. The U11 girls beat Saudi Arabia, 3-1.
The U19 women lost to Lebanon, 3-2.
In the men's competition, the national team beat Kuwait, 3-0, to go top of group B.
