EIGHT KICKBOXERS SELECTED FOR ISLAMIC GAMES

Jordan Kickboxing Federation has revealed the eight athletes who have been selected for the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by Konya, Turkey, from August 9-18.
The squad is coached by Issa Abu Nassar and Abdullah Al Besheh with Usaid Al Ja’afreh (full contact -51kg), Muhi Eldein Usama (full contact -60kg), Udai Abu Hassweh (full contact -63kg), Sulaiman Al Haddar (full contact -67kg), Muhannad Al Selawi (full contact -71kg), Ali Khalaf (full contact -81kg), Ibrahim Jum’aa (low kick -60kg) and Mohammad Wasfi (low kick -67kg) all booking their spots.
Abu Nassar said the competition will be fierce, with a number of the world’s best fighters confirmed to be taking part.
“The sport of Kickboxing is included for the first time at the Islamic Solidarity Games, so we are looking forward to achieving some success for Jordan, as the athletes have all been working hard to be ready,” said Abu Nassar.
