TWO WEIGHTLIFTERS NAMED FOR ISLAMIC GAMES

Jordan will take two weightlifters to the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games which will be hosted by Konya, Turkey from August 9-18.
Adalah Mohamed Hassouna (49kg) and Ibrahim Al Fararja (67kg) will travel with coach, Ali Rashad, for what promises to be a very competitive event.
“Ibrahim and Adalah are among the most distinguished young weightlifters in Jordan, so their participation will give them great experience of international competition against some very strong athletes from other countries,” said Rashad.
The weightlifting will be held from August 11-15, and the pair will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the late Awad Al-Aboudi, who won a pair of bronze medals at the Makkah Al-Mukarramah edition in 2005.
