GOLDS AT WEST ASIA YOUTH ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan have won two gold medals at the 2nd West Asian Youth Athletics Championships, which were organised by the Lebanese Athletics Federation.

Issa Al-Jabali won gold in the 3000m, while Rana Al-Bakkar threw for first spot in the Javelin.

Al-Jabali clinched his gold in a time of 8 minutes 59.95 seconds, finishing ahead of Iraq’s Mustafa Khuzam in second and Yemen’s Osama Al-Yari, in third.

Al-Bakkar’s gold was secured with a brilliant throw of 32.97m, clear of Syria’s Aya Esber in second and Lebanon’s Pia Sarkis in third.
