WIN FOR U23 FOOTBALL TEAM

Jordan’s U23 football team has picked up an impressive win at the AFC Asian Cup taking place in Uzbekistan.
The side beat Kuwait 1-0 thanks to a goal from Mohamed Abu Rezeq who headed home the winner in the 68th minute from a corner.
The win moves Jordan onto four points, level at the top with Australia who were held by Iraq but hold a better goal difference than Jordan who also drew 1-1 with Iraq in their first match. Kuwait are bottom as they search for their first win.
The winner and runner-up from each of the four groups qualify for the last eight.
