ASIAN SAMBO BRONZE FOR FARUQA

Sambo fighter, Sanad Faruqa, has won a bronze medal at the Asian Sambo Youth Championships hosted in Lebanon.
Faruqa finished third -71kg weight after starting his campaign with a win over Lebanon’s Omar Al Nawar (5-3).
He then lost to Kyrgyzstan’s Iskandar Nar Mammadov, to drop into the repechage competition where he succeeded in winning bronze.
Jordan was represented in the Championships by Abdullah Sobeeh, Sanad Faruqa, Rima Zarkash and Muhammad Qatani.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Hakam Al-Ajarmeh, Vice-President of the Jordan Kickboxing Federation and Chairman of the Jordanian Sambo Committee; Khaled Al-Hadidi, Vice-Chairman of the Committee; Coach, Hamza Nafesh; Administrator, Salem Khotat and referees, Hamza Narmak and Yarn Jammuha.
