YOUNG WRESTLERS IMPRESS AT ARAB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s U20 Wrestling team has impressed at the Arab Roman Wrestling Championship taking place in Saudi Arabia, after winning a gold and a silver medal on day one.
Yahya Hussein Abu Tabikh, won gold in the -87kg category, after winning bouts against wrestlers from Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Suhaib Al-Hasanat then won silver in the -67kg competition after victory over another wrestler from the host nation.
The tournament is being held at the King Abdulaziz City Gymnasium in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with the participation of 180 athletes representing Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, UAE, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco, in addition to Jordan.
