JU-JITSU SET FOR ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan are set to launch their campaign at the 6th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship being held in Manama, Bahrain.
The event is expected to welcome over 260 athletes from 22 Asian countries and Zaid Al Qawasmeh will launch Jordan’s campaign against Mohammad Al Swedi from the UAE in the round of 16, while Bader Al Kuza’I will meet Uzbekistan’s Abrokemove Frokh in the same round.
Qamar Teif will meet the UAE’s Sharifah Al N’ami, while Yasmeen Al Alami will meet Gubota Shifani from India.
Yara Qaqeesh will meet Marah Mahfouz from UAE in the round of 16.
The team has gone through intensive training since they arrived in Bahrain under the supervision of coaches Lama Qubbaj and Hamzeh Al Rasheed.
Jordan have previously won 23 medals in their previous five Asian Championships.
