AL RAWASHDEH BOXES TO ASIAN GOLD

Jordan has a new rising star in Boxing after youngster, Saif Al-Rawashdeh, won a brilliant gold medal at the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships that ended yesterday at the Rashed Al Zyoud Hall in Al Hussein Sports City, Amman.
The two-week event welcomed over 350 boxers representing 21 countries and the host nation was in superb form, winning an incredible 22 medals.
But Al-Rawashdeh was the toast of Jordan after beating India’s Aman Singh Bisht in the final of the 92kg competition.
His medal was the icing on the cake for Team Jordan who finished with a further three silver medals and 18 bronze medals.
The three silver medals were won by Aya Sweinda (women's -57kg), Noha Al-Zoubi (-66kg), and Fares Helmy (-70 kg category).
The bronze medals were won by Sadeen Al Ramahi (women’s -44kg), Nadine Al-Manasir (women’s -48kg), Aseel Zayed (women’s -60kg), Natalie Hussein (women’s -63kg), Zaya Murad (women’s -70kg), Rahaf Shaqoura (women’s -80kg), Balqis Al Amir (-50kg), Nour Asaad (women’s -63kg), Wajd Al Majali (women’s -66kg), Rasha Al-Shatti (women’s -75kg) Lian Qabej (women’s -81kg), Qais Ashish (junior -52 kg), Malik Jadallah (junior -66kg), Fares Helmy (junior -70kg), Seif El-Din Harb (junior -80kg), Mahdi Al-Matbouli (youth -70kg), Muhammad Al-Talawi (-71kg), Razi Hiasat (-80kg), and Muhammad Al-Katout (-92kg).
