RUGBY SEASON KICKS OFF

Rugby is back underway in Jordan after a Covid break of eight months with the 2022 season kicking off on Friday with top quality 15s and 7s matches at Petra University Stadium.
Friday’s matches involved Citadel, Nomads, Sosoroka and Saracens who are fielding teams in both the men’s and the women’s matches.
For the men, Sosoroka picked up a pair of victories over the Citadel, 14-0, and the Saracens, 21-5, while the Citadel bound back with a 31-5 win over the Saracens.
Citadel’s women beat Sosoroka, 31-5, and the Nomads, 12-5, while Sosoroka scored their first win of the season over the Nomads, 27-0.
The second round of the league which includes three rounds will continue on Friday, 18th of this month.
