MORE GLORY FOR TAEKWONDO IN FUJAIRAH

Jordan’s Taekwondo team has followed up its successful Arab Championships in Fujairah by winning five medals, including three gold, at the G2 Fujairah Championships.
The gold medals were won by Juliana Al-Sadiq (-67kg), Zaid Al-Halawani (-63kg) and Fahd Ammar (-87kg), while a pair of bronze medals were won by Natalie Al-Hamidi (-62kg) and Rama Abu Al-Rub (-73kg).
These medals followed on from the 10 that were achieved in the Arab event which was held prior to this weekend’s international competition.
The six gold medals won there were achieved by Mahmoud Al-Tarirah (-58kg), Al-Halawani (- 63kg), Zaid Mustafa (-68 kg), Natalie Al-Hamidi (-62 kg), Al-Sadiq (-67kg) and Rama Abu Al-Rub (73kg), while the two silver medals came from Ammar (-87kg) and Laith Al Rawashdeh (-54kg). Two Arab bronzes were won by Uday Al-Rathhum (87kg) and Yara Yassin (-57kg).
