POWERLIFTERS HEAD TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan is sending a strong team to compete at the 9th World Powerlifting Championships to be held in Batumi, Georgia, from November 27-December 6.
The team will include Muhammad Al-Shanti (49kg) Omar Qaradah (49kg), AbdulKareem Khattab (88kg), Moataz Al-Junaidi (97kg), Jamil Al-Shibli (107kg), Asmaa Issa (79kg), and Thurayyah Al-Hajjaj who will compete in the 86kg division.
The delegation will be managed by Dr. Amer Al-Shaar with support from Ahmed Hyasat, therapist, and Issa Hilal, coach.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Tarbash is unable to compete due to injury suffered during his participation at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, an event where Jordan won gold medals through Khattab, Qaradah and Al-Shibli.
Jordan won silver and bronze medals at the last World Championships in Kazakhstan through Qaradeh and Khattab in the last edition.
