GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW ATHLETES COMMITTEE

Jordan Sport will be serviced by a new Athletes Committee following the green light given by the Jordan Olympic Committee on Monday night.
The decision was rubber stamped at a meeting of the JOC Board, held under the Presidency of HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, with the committee to be put to work on behalf of the athletes immediately.
The board also approved the results of the National Federations Evaluation for 2015, after Rana Al Saeed, Manager of Federations Department, presented the latest results and recommendations.
Following the reviews, each Federation is placed into a category with Green being the highest and sliding down to orange and yellow. No federations were in the lowest red category.
Green: equestrian, gymnastics, bridge and karate
Orange: wrestling, fencing, table tennis, judo, boxing, cycling, weightlifting, chess, billiard and snooker, football, Jiujitsu, kick boxing, marine sports, tennis, volleyball, handball, taekwondo and squash.
Yellow: basketball
A decision was also made to include the impressive judo star Mohammad Khalaf to the Summer Olympics Qualification programme to support his bid to qualify to Rio de Janeiro over the coming months.
