KARATE HEAD TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s top fighters are have arrived in Dubai where they will compete at the World Karate Championship from November 16-21.
The delegation will be headed by Manar Sha’ath as Chef De Mission and Head Coach Mohammad Ibrahim with another coach, Ahmad Ibrahim, providing support alongside Physio, Muath Al Madani.
The squad includes Afif Ghaith (-60kg), Abdullah Hammad (-67kg), Hassan Maarweh (-75kg), Mazen Al Jaidi (-84kg), Mahmoud Al Sajan (84kg), Wojoud Al Drous (-61kg), Huda Jabr (-68kg) along with Ahmed Shedid, Zaki Abu Qaoud and Abdul Rahman Al-Masatafa who will compete in the teams event.
There will also be four Jordanian judges involved: Abdul Hafeez Alia, Ibrahim Al-Daqs, Hanadi Al-Banna and Faiq Al-Jaafari.
The team has intensified its preparations over the past few days in order to reach their physical and mental peaks.
The event is expected to welcome over 1,000 fighters from 117 countries.
