JORDAN INTO ASIAN BASKETBALL SEMI-FINALS

Jordan have beaten Kazakhstan to reach the semi-final of the FIBA Women’s Asian Basketball Cup (Division ).
The 72-51 win was their second of the tournament, being hosted in Amman until November 14, with Rasha Abdo top scoring with 15 points. It follows an opening day 76-64 win over Indonesia.
Jordan will next meet the winner of Syria against Kazakhstan for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, Lebanon also qualified for the semi-finals after winning their group with two victories, the second coming over Syria, 83-63.
There are six teams competing in Amman with the winner securing promotion to play in Division A of Asian basketball.
