It may be a sport that is new to many, but Jordan has proved to be one of the world’s best at it this weekend.
Tent pegging is an ancient cavalry sport recognised by the International Equestrian Federation where horse riders use a sharpened weapon to spear targets on the floor.
And Jordan has qualified for the World Cup which will be held in Egypt in April. The team qualified after securing second place in the qualifying event in Sudan involving eight nations with Yemen, Oman and Sudan also going through.
