JORDAN-KUWAIT BANK HONOURS TOKYO 2020 HEROES

The Jordan Kuwait Bank has honoured the Jordanian athletes who won medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The ceremony was held at the bank’s headquarters in the presence of Haitham Al-Batikhi, Executive Director of Jordan Kuwait Bank, Abdul Salam Al-Saman, Director of Institutional Communication at Jordan Kuwait Bank, Nasser Majali, Secretary General of the Jordan Olympic Committee, Dr. Hussein Abu Al Raz, Chairman of the Jordan Paralympic Committee, and Maha Barghouti, Secretary General of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee.
Mr Al Batikhi expressed his pride in the great achievements of the Jordanian champions at the Games and said they were a source of inspiration for all Jordanians.
Mr Majali praised the Jordan Kuwait Bank for their support, and extended the JOC’s appreciation to all civil society institutions as well as public and private companies for supporting the Jordanian sports movement.
Those honoured included Paralympians: Abdul Karim Khattab, gold in the 88kg Powerlifting; Jamil Al-Shabli, gold in the 107kg Powerlifting; Omar Qarada, gold in the 49kg Powerliting; Ahmed Hindi, gold in the shot put; Khitam Abu Awad, bronze in the Table Tennis.
Taekwondo silver medallist, Saleh Al Sharbati, and Karate bronze medallist, Abdul Rahman Masatafa, were also honoured for their Olympic successes.
