Jan 13, 2016
The Jordan Wrestling Federation has unveiled ambitious plans for the coming year, with a new Ukrainian coach at the heart of their international efforts.
Roustom Adzahi arrives in Jordan with a proven track record after guiding wrestlers from his country to gold at the World Youth Championships.
He will oversee the national sides as they hope to make an impact on the Asian level through 2016.
Hussein Al Jbour, Federation President, said: “We have set some ambitious targets this year and hope to see wrestling progress in Jordan.”
Adzahi has his first chance to view his new talent through a training camp based out of the Mustafa Al Edwan Youth Hostel in the Jordan Valley from January 16-28.
The Federation has also launched a talent identification programme to visit youth centres and clubs to find the next generation of champions as they plan towards qualifying for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020.
