HINDI CLINCHES WORLD GOLD IN DUBAI

Jordan Paralympian Ahmad Hindi has clinched the shot put gold medal at the Dubai 2021 World Para Athletics Grand Prix – 12th Fazza International Championships.
Hindi, the reigning World Champion, threw a brilliant 11.80m to take the title, followed by Colombian Mordicko who threw 11.26m, while Zidan Nweiri from Morocco finished third.
Hindi previously booked his place for this summer’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo after winning the World Championship with a huge throw of 12.17m.
His teammate Abdullah Qahwaji threw a new personal best to finish fifth.
Meanwhile, Nabeel Maqableh finished the 1500m in fifth in a time of four minutes 4.62 seconds.
The tournament has attracted more than 470 athletes from 52 countries.
