OLYMPIC TABLE TENNIS QUALIFIERS UNDERWAY ON MONDAY

Jordan will host the West Asian Table Tennis Qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games next week, starting from Monday.
Prince Hamzeh Hall in Al Hussein Youth City will host the three-day event with 31 players in total including 20 men and 11 women.
Eleven countries will participate including Bahrain, UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Yemen, Syria, as well as Jordan.
The winners of each category will qualify for the Olympics with the 20 men divided into five groups before the top two from each advance to the knockout stage. The 11 females will be divided into three groups, of which the first and second of each group will also qualify for the knockout round.
The Jordan team have continued their intensive preparations under the guidance of technical director, Mustafa Reda. The squad includes Zaid Abu Yamen, Ziad Aziz, Swar Abu Yaman and Bara al-Wadi.
