JORDAN BEAT TURKMEN IN DAVIS CUP

Jordan have opened their Davis Cup campaign with a win over Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
Fourteen countries are in Amman for the qualifying tournament from Asia and Oceania, and the national team started with a win after Abdallah Shelbaya beat Arsiyan Orashef 2-0 (6-2, 6-4). Moussa Qotob then lost 2-0 (6-7, 2-6) before the pair teamed up to win their doubles match 7-6, 6-3).
Also in Group C, Guam won 2-1 against Mongolia, the team Jordan will meet next tomorrow at 10 am.
Only two teams will qualify from the 14 entered in total for the next round of the Davis Cup.
