HINDAWI LOSES AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Uday Al-Hindawi has suffered a defeat at the hands of Sammy Lee, of Wales, at the World Boxing Championships in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.
Hindawi lost in the under-81 kg weight, so Jordan will be hoping for better things to come from Mohamed Al-Wadi who fights Croatia’s Fratti Ramon in the 56kg competition on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Mohammed Al-Gharaghir will meet Serbian, Janjic Dusan, in the -52kg weight and Olympic fighter Obadah Al-Kessbeh will fight Moldova’s Alexandro, in the 63kg.
Olympic quarter-finalist, Hussein Ishaish, who won bronze at the Asian Championships, was drawn against Abbas Aziz in the 91kg competition on Sunday.
